Rainy spring

Hello everyone! We're finally seeing the end of weird semi-quarantine here in France. Terrasses and cinemas are opened and we only have a few weeks to wait before all bars, restaurants and gym clubs get to have their happy customers in. The only missing thing would be a nicer weather : it's been raining on and off every . single . day for at least two weeks, with a mild 15°C temperature. At least, nature is filling up its tanks for our hot alsacian summer.

My flowy summery dresses have to wait in my closed for more induldging weather days, but I still try to get them out with higher boots and longer coats to make them more rain appropriate. And you, what's your favorites tips and tricks to wear dresses when it's pouring?

A day in Annecy

Hello everyone! A few pictures from my last week-end in picturesque Annecy. It's always such a pleasure to walk these pretty streets along the river and have a summer mushroom fondue at l'Alpin or a delicious salted caramel icecream - by far my favorite one!

Flandre

Hello everyone! I do hope you're all doing well. These are the last pictures we took from our latest trip to beautiful Bruges! I've enjoyed this little getaways so much, this pretty town museum was really fun and interesting to visit explore and learn more about. I hope you've enjoyed the pictures and outfits!

Bruges sunset

Hi everyone! I hope all of you are doing well... These past month have really been difficult and the virus didn't help out. This is a time to refocus and perhaps also to unwind a bit... And dig out some photos ;)

Béguinage

Happy 2020 everyone! I do hope this year will be interesting, joy bringing and life changing in a good way :) Back-to-school week was pretty hectic as always, but we're back to sharing our pictures from beautiful Bruges!
These were taken in the Béguinage area, a nunnery where widowed women would live as a community. The lake is very charming and we had the loveliest afternoon there, learning more about the place and enjoying some more waffles!

La belle vie

Hello everyone! We're just back from our little getaway in Belgium... It's been three lovely days in beautiful Bruges! Lots of waffles and an interesting journey through history. The city itself became quite a open air museum but still, wandering through the pretty streets and navigating the canals was a most charming experience! We were incredibly lucky in our weather, sunny but yet very chilly.

Oversized

Dressing in Strasbourg has been quite confusing these past weeks, we've had typical spring weather with rain showers, super hot afternoon and chilly mornings. Finding the perfect outfit when staying at work all day has been really hard, I even sometimes brought an other pair of shoes and tights to put on or off as the weather changed, but one of the formula that worked the best had to be this one: a summer dress with spring boots underneath an oversized trench, sometimes layered over a thick cardigan or tailor jacket. I liked the look of it, as it looks quite modern and polished! I hope you'll like it as well ^^

Stripes & lace

How are you everyone? It's been a while since the last outfit post, we're actually so busy right now as Maxime is still working on his forthcoming exams and as I have a lot of things to do because of school's year end. Anyway, here is one of my favorite outfit as we are slowly transitioning into summer : long dresses with espadrilles! I do hope you'll like this outfit :)

Wilhelm

Hi everyone! A quick and easy outfit from last week end at my parents featuring the espadrilles I'm wearing to death lately and a my favorite shorter suede jacket. I'm all about this easy formula these days, a no-brainer outfit is what we all need! :) By the way, say hi to my great-great grandfather Whilhelm ^^

Le panier

Hello everyone! I can't tell you how glad I am for spring time and spring temperatures. I am not quite a fan of super hot weather, I do hope summer won't be here too soon!
Dressing for spring can be a littel tricky, and I lately found a formula that suits my taste a lot: longer dresses with mid-length sleeves and espadrilles. These shoes are my go-to for spring time, they are so comfortable and the fact that they are not open-toe really does make a difference in the morning!
But the main star of the show here has to be this straw basket. How seriously beautiful is it? I wasn't quite into straw baskets or Bali bags before, mostly because I found the impractical for carrying valuables or because I've seen them too much. This one has a mix of cannage and weaving I find so interesting, with a super practical strap. I still usually keep my things in a nude dustbag to keep them secure. I do hope you'll lik it as much as I do!

Morrocan tea time

Hi everyone! First of all, I wanted to thank you a lot for all of your sweet messages for our wedding, and also the your feedback on my new cooking blog, MAXCE Cuisine. This means so much to me and I am very grateful to all of you!
Now onto the look, I was wearing this stunning dress from one of my favorite brands for a little Moroccan tea time in a gorgeous salon in Strasbourg. One definitely feels like leaving Eastern France for an oriental destination! It's not quite hot enough yet, which is why I decided to keep my over the knee boots. A littel fringed bag for some more boho inspired vibes, et voilà ^^

Fringe on snow

Hello everyone! Well well, if you guys follow us on socials, you may know why we have been off for an entire month! No worries, we are back and will post a few articles in a week from now with all the details regarding our little secret!

Winter in Geneva

JANUARY 14, 2019

Hello everyone! I hope 2019 started all well. At Maxce's house, everything is pretty hectic, we're so busy preparing our wedding (two months left to go!) and our jobs are very demanding as always. Anyway, we are well organized and will keep posting here and on social medias!
During holiday season, We had the chance to take a break and visit our family near Geneva. We enjoy this place quite a lot and have our own little habits : walking up to the cathedral, picking some delicatessen at Globus grocery store, eating pizzas at Molino and walking along the lake.
For that first extremely windy day there (my hair flew on my face on most pictures we took! so annoying), I was wearing this monochrome oxblood red outfit with touches of gold. I love the contrast of textures with the chunky knit and the satin skirt!
I was also wearing this super warm and soft tartan plaid by Pashmina & Cachemire. Remember our autumn outfit with this luxurious scarf? This wool pink one is even cosier! Scarves in Winter are such a good basic to snuggle in but also a great fashion accessory, and I was happy to give a go to the unusual combination of pink and red. What do you guys think? :)

Autumn gardens

DECEMBER 08, 2018

Hi everyone! I still have two weeks shcool before our next holiday and I miss travelling so much... But I'm already looking forward to Christmas season! We are also full in our wedding preparations, there are only a few months left and we're getting very excited! For now, I'm enjoying my favorite season, biking through beautiful landscapes, eating tons of mushrooms and pumpkins... I'm not ready yet for winter, although I like Christmas time!
For that beautiful day in Schwetzingen, I was wearing my favorite coat with a very nice wool skirt mixing two trendy, typical autumn prints : houndstooth and tartan. I loved the effect and found in more interesting than the classic schoolgirl tartan skirt!

November day

NOVEMBER 02, 2018

I'm turning 27 today! Well, I don't quite feel like this age... I still don't always feel like an adult! Anyway, we're having a very nice time in Germany, enjoying autumn landscapes and colors, looking for cute squirrels and running through leaves!
I was wearing for that day the most beautiful, soft and luxurious cashmere scarf ever, that was kindly gifted to me by Pachemina & Cachemire. I fell in love with the pattern and I really liked the reversible effect! The fabric is so soft on the skin and feels very light but also incredibly warm. I've been wearing it everyday since I got it, as a good scarf always is a must-have in colder climate areas!

I wanted to style it in a quite unusual way, rather than just wrapping it around or to tie it around my neck : I wore it over a light white dress, draped on my shoulders and than cinched at the waist with a western-inspired belt, and added my favorite autumn coat. The light shimmery pattern peaks on the sides, adding lots of texture and details to the outfit, and I love it!

Galleria

OCTOBER 31, 2018

Hi everyone! I'm glad to share with you our last pictures from Milan, my third outfit for a day walking around the city, exploring streets near the Duomo and Brera. It was hot as hell, but we really enjoyed it! I was wearing this matching cotton set with espadrilles, so light and airy. This stay in Milan was so interesting, we didn't expect such an architecture - my first impression was something like: "This looks like an Italian Geneva!" -  We would love to go back!

Duomo

OCTOBER 19, 2018

Hello everyone! I am so excited to finally share with you these pictures from our favorite moment in Milano, our visit to the Duomo! I was so looking for climbing up to the rooftops, such an amazing experience! I was a little worried about dealing with my fear of heights, but I was perfectly fine as everything feels secure up there. And what to say about the gorgeous architecture, made even more special by the soft morning light.
I think that we finally found our holiday rhythm as bloggers: We like to wake up super early to shoot outfit pictures, and then casually enjoy our day as normal tourists, not worrying too much about documenting our trip, it feels like we really live our trip but still satisfy our hobby at the same time.
For the look, since this day was crazy hot, I went for long dress on its own, but what a dress! I have a little obsession with lurex threads in clothes, I think it makes it so special. I kept my accessorizes quite simple, with a few jewels such as this trendy seashell necklace (last year's DIY!).

OCTOBER 05, 2018

Hello ladies! We're in October now, and I can't wait for my favorite time of year! Golden leaves, soft, warm light, delicious mushrooms and fruits, not to mention interesting fashion! Sadly, the beginning of fall also means all kind of illnesses coming back, I have been in days for four days...
For now, here is one of my favorite looks from out Italian stay, near Milano's famous canals at sunrise... I am all for prints when it comes to lighter dressing, this brings a lot of interest and dimension when layering, accessorizing and most textures aren't in option during hotter times!

La Perla del lago

SEPTEMBER 19, 2018

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great week end. I spent these two days unwinding at home before hitting another busy busy week! I really do miss our Italian trip, seeing these pictures makes me want to book flights and pin loads of travel pictures on my mood board. For this evening in Bellagio, we went for a pizza on the lake shore, when Maxime gave me the sweetest little present as a souvenir of this great stay we had there, a beautiful cameo necklace that complemented my little black dress. I went a little riské with some beautiful lingerie peeping from it. This dress has a little strict vibe with its tuxedo collar and lower waist, I wanted to make it a little more glamorous for that special event and I do quite like it!

Varenna

SEPTEMBER 14, 2018

Hello girls! I hope you're all doing great, or at least better than I did these pas days... I've been a little ill and seemed to have lost my energy. I'm still not feeling well but taking a look at the beauty of Varenna makes me definitely feel better! When we spent a few days in Lombardia, we decided to take the ferry to see this charming, colorful town and to have a swim with ducklings after exploring the narrow streets. I kept saying "how pretty"! and even wanted to buy a house that was for sale there! I was wearing this gorgeous one-piece swimsuit from Asos with a cameo pendant Maxime had bought me in Bellagio. I enjoy getting a little reminder of places we've been to, and I think jewels are always a good choice, wearing them back to work brings such good memories!
