It's been quite a while since the latest DIY! I'm quite sure you couldn't miss the straw baskets and bags trend that has been taking over these past weeks. Well, I must say they have everything to please, fun shapes, relaxed feel, interesting textures... I already own 2, but I was looking for something really unique and original. And as I was shopping for plaster and paint in an hardware store, I stumbled upon this ah-may-zing woven rattan roll and the crazy idea came immediately to use it as a material for a super original straw clutch! I actually made two other clutches as there was still some leftover woven rattan. So I am very happy to say that if you really don't feel like doing this yourself, I will be selling the two others on my e-shop (here)! But you can also just follow the steps ;) Please do share if you liked!

Easy DIY : trendy embroidery top
MAI 08, 2017
DIY choker necklace
NOVEMBER 21, 2016
I hope you guys are all doing very well! I haven't been posting a lot lately... If you do follow me on social medias, you may know that beside having a lot of work, I caught a flu last week and spent the whole time sick in bed. I also had some thoughts about my blog, I was feeling demotivated, although I still had crazy inspiration. I had the feeling that our work here wasn't inspiring enough, that it had no value and that we got invisible and lost in the huge world of blogging... But even if we may seem that way, I felt that I loved blogging so much that I didn't care about being useful or not. The truth is, I miss it a lot. I love capturing these moments, I love composing outfits, I love creating unique DIYs for you guys, or just for me. That's part of my life, of our lives and if we can inspiring you just a little, then we are happy over the moon!
So I am happy to come back with this new DIY: a choker, that easy, casual but a little sexy piece that remind me a little of Marie Antoinette's neck ribbons. I've seen a few of them in stores, but my neck is incredibly tiny and they are always way too big. Follow the steps to make your own!
DIY rope & coral bracelet
SEPTEMBER 08, 2016
I hope you’re
all doing well! This week has been my first as a teacher, and I can tell you, I
am exhausted. I go to bed at 9.30 pm and I spend all my free time preparing my
lessons, I feel like I would need an entire week now to rest from these few
stressful days… All my “baby teachers colleagues” tell the same, I guess it’s
normal when you start working with pupils!
It’s been a
while since the latest DIY post! I made this one especially to make something out of these beautiful coral beads I bought at the market ;) I hope you will like it!
DIY: trendy seashell necklace
JULY 14, 2016
I've seen more and more of these kind of jewels with seashells! I think they are so pretty for summer, easy to pair with anything and also actually quite easy to make! I have done these pendants using shells I've brought back from holiday, which makes it a nice souvenir, but you could easily buy some with the hole already done. Follow the steps to make your own minimalist seashell necklace, and add some more details such as beads or pompoms for a more sophisticated version!
DIY: Off shoulders lace top
I've got some good news! :D As you may know, I've just passed the first part of the teacher's competitive exam and i've been selected to pass the second part, which means I'm not very far from this awesome job! :D Lots of work and revisions are ahead which is quite stressful but I feel already happy that I've managed this first part :)
Now on to the DIY: Off shoulders tops are quite successful this season, and you can see why! They are so feminine and elegant, easy to wear and perfect for summer evenings! So, I've found it could be fun to try and make it one by myself. It's actually quite easy and not much stuff is required. Follow the steps to sew your own!
DIY Christmas Advent Wreath
This year, I teamed up with Westwing to present you a Christmas DIY to brighten up your home!
This is actually one of the biggest family traditions, along with baking Christmas cakes, "Bredalas", and decorating the tree: Making Christmas Advent wreathes with my Mum! This tradition is quite huge here in Alsace, probably because of our closeness with German culture that is the origin of it.
On a chilly afternoon, we would sit on the carpet with our branches, put on some music or a good film on, and make several of these for all the family! So keep scrolling to discover the super easy steps to make your own at home!
DIY : Jewel scarf
SEPTEMBER 03, 2015
I'm back with a new DIY, it has been such a while! This one has allowed me to recycle an old scarf eaten on the edges, and turn it into a nice half scarf- half necklace. Follow the steps and share if you like! <3
DIY: Boho embellished belt
NOVEMBER 13, 2014
I'm back with a new DIY! That wasn't exactly planned for today but as the weather has been absolutely awful this past week and as the light was so bad and dark that we couldn't shoot anything outside this week, we had to present it instead of an outfit. I do hope the sky will clear out soon and that you will like it anyways!
Now, the DIY. as you may have noticed, embroidered ribbon has become a staple ingredient in my creations, it allows me to fulfill my need of embroideries and glitter! This belt is easy to make, either with glue or a sewing machine.
DIY embellished espadrilles
Did you also watch with interest the massive espadrilles trend taking over the blogosphere this Summer? Chanel and Vuitton luxury'a take on this classical hot days and beach shoes from the Pays Basque definitely brought it back in trend. I would definitely have purchased a good pair of Vuitton's ones but I'm not sure my banker would have been happy with it. I had forgotten about my frustration until I went on the French Riviera and bumped into a small shop in old Nice, selling dozens of different colors for only 10 euros. I didn't hesitate for a second and picked this denim version, handmade please. I decided later on to customize it and make more urban appropriate. Follow the steps and get your own personal design ;)
Birds - Blogging tips
I've been blogging for one year and a half now, so I don't feel like an expert in any way! Don't get me wrong, I have still so much to learn and improve about my blog, but looking back to what it used to be I felt I could share with you a few tips that really made a difference in the way Maxce looks and evolves, the difficulties that occur, It all comes from my personal experience ;) It's definitely not about being successful, but more importantly it's about being proud and happy of you blog and making it nice to read!
DIY Statement boots (removable)
You will probably think, "these boots are already a statement with their glittery heels", indeed yes but these were the best to use as an example for this DIY! It's a cute way to turn a casual old pair of ankle boots into a cool eye-catching accessory :)
DIY Christmas gift-wrapping
It has been such a long time since I last posted a DIY article! I actually had not enough time for complicated embroidering, so this one is way quicker and easier to do!
This is a cute way to wrap small jewels or objects.
DIY embroidery tutorial
Tadaa! I finally took the time to do for you this (most requested) DIY embroidery tutorial! The technique isn't really difficult but you need to be very patient. It's a perfect activity when you're watching a movie at home if you're like me, unable to sit quietly on your sofa without doing anything else :)
This is my very first tutorial, I hope you'll find it complete! If you need further explanation, please ask me! ;)
DIY jacket
Yep. I did get these famous shorts. I actually thought about it carefully, not that I wasn't sure I liked them, but mostly because almost every blogger has them, there is not a single day without seeing them on lookbook.nu. So the question was: do I follow the trend and buy these shorts I really like, or do I reject them only because everyone has them (true fashionista dilemma!). I came to the conclusion that I didn't care about people saying that this is just silly, copying a trend. Does anyone say such thing when a girl is wearing blue jeans?! Let us say that these shorts have become a staple piece of clothes. Well done Zara! The truth is, they're just perfect and easy to style!
I made this DIY jacket last week. It's an old 123 jacket on which I sewed an embroidered ribbon I got on Etsy, I hope you like it :)
