La cuisine de Mamie Chat #1

Who is "Mamie Chat"? Well, she is my mum's mum. She used to babysit me when I was a baby, her nickname comes from that time. She and my Granddad had a cat, "chat" in French, and actually this was the very first word I was able to pronounce, running after the poor cat to stroke him (until he got annoyed and scratched me). She is an amazing cook! So I decided to do her best recipes, the ones I've eaten during my childhood. most of them are very simple, but I never managed to do them as well as she does. They alway miss Mamie Chat's touch :)

It's the very first time I try such crazy shoes! I got them because of the transparent heels, but I normally never get platform shoes, I think they're hard to walk in and a little strange, but I don't regret buying them. I like to try unusual clothes, sometimes you have good surprises. Well, often I still think it's weird, but at least I tried! In this case, I'm happy to have put my usual style aside, I like the association with this nice chic dress :)

I was so excited when I saw Dolce & Gabbana's fashion show for Fall/Winter 2013-14! The dresses were absolutely amazing and I loved the hair and makeup. When this Warehouse dress came by post the next morning, I immediately wanted to style it in a kind of D&G inspired way. I bought some golden ribbon at a haberdashery and made this accessory for my hair. What do you think of the result? :)

Filet mignon with red berries

This week I went to my parents on holidays, and the lent me their kitchen, so I could experiment new recipes. I found this one in the book in which my mom used to collect nice recipes when she was a teenager. Originally this sauce was supposed to go with game meat. I also made a Fondue Savoyarde :)
