This is not one of my Grandma's recipes, this yummy pie is inspired from the ones my dad used to make when I was a child. I have always love them! My father and his father are excellent cooks, especially when it comes to meat ;)

You'll need:

100g beef

100g pork or veal

white vine

thyme

rosemary

cloves

juniper berries

pepper

salt

laurel leaves

Bonjour Madam Lili

Yesterday Maxime and I went to the restaurant for his granddad's birthday. We ate far too much as it was really delicious and all the plates were meant for two! We first had some foie gras toasts, then fish with champagne sauce, then veal with morels, and finally some cake. I really thought I would never be able to walk to the car! It was fantastic, you guys know how much I love good cuisine!

It was the occasion for me to dress up nicely and wear one of my favorites skirts, and as it's already quite a statement, I paired it with casual clothes. I also wore this fine necklace from Madamlili, a fantastic German brand. They have all sorts of vintage and nostalgic jewels, I fell for this one, so elegant and refined!

New

NEW NAME  I finally got a new name for this blog! maxcebycecilej.blogspot.fr was a little too long, so here we are now with maxcebycecilej.com! I am so glad, I first had some issues with it. Since I am on holidays, my imagination seems to run at 100km/h! I have so many projects, wishes, I first re-decorated my apartment and I spend quite a lot of time looking for more little objects and paintings to make my home even more nice and pretty. 

Sweet fish

This was quite a challenge! Maxime doesn't like any type of food from the sea, and I wanted to make him appreciate it. Hard! I tried quite a few times different recipes, way of cooking, using various spices... I finally made it by trying a recipe my Mum used to make for us when we were younger, using sweetened olive oil to cook the fish, making it less "smelly"! Maxime liked it so I hope you'll enjoy this as well ^^
